Hello John,
Action Ready is all about highlighting Action Network and Action Builder features with guides, examples, and, above all, best practices for your digital program! This month the series continues with a focus on good email deliverability. Whether it’s a rapid-response email or an email ladder, it is essential that your messages reach your community of activists.
Installing DKIM records is Step 1 to improving and maintaining good deliverability. (For the full list of steps, check out our Deliverability Guide!)
💌 What is DKIM?
DKIM stands for DomainKeys Identified Email. With DKIM, your emails are more likely to get delivered because it is verified by the mailbox provider.
💌 Why is DKIM important?
Good deliverability over a long period of time will not be possible without DKIM. DKIM links your domain to the emails you send. In other words, it lets the recipient’s server verify the email is really coming from your organization. This helps ensure your email ends up in the inbox, not the spam folder!
Follow these steps to set up DKIM records for your organization. Our team sets up DKIM records for our partner organizations every day — if you haven’t already, you can get started today by following the instructions here!
If you already have DKIM records set up for your organization, HOORAY! Thanks for taking that important step to ensure good deliverability.
In Solidarity,
