Stop This Deadly Bill ([link removed])
[link removed]

Friend,

We have a chance to enact policies that would protect millions of animals—and defeat some of the most inhumane legislation on the congressional slate. But Congress left on their August recess without making any real progress for animals.

When they’re back, they’ll likely begin action on the Farm Bill, a must-pass legislative package impacting agricultural policies that they take up every five years. We need to hit the ground running the minute Congress reconvenes to ensure we defeat the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act, and stop it from being included in the Farm Bill.

Though this bill sounds harmless, it could lead to the suffering of millions of animals by overturning state animal protection laws. Friend, will you donate now to help stop this inhumane policy—and support all our fights to protect animals? ([link removed])

Because of the EATS Act’s broad language, up to 1,000 state laws—including laws that prevent the cruel confinement of egg-laying hens, mother pigs and veal calves, the abuse of dogs in puppy mills, the killing of animals for the wildlife trade and painful testing on animals—could all be erased!

That’s because it was designed by lawmakers more interested in removing regulations and making big agriculture more profitable than even slightly reducing the suffering of animals.

Your $20 contribution will power our work on Capitol Hill to stop the EATS Act and ensure a humane Farm Bill that protects animals, as well as all our efforts to advocate for animals! So please give today—BEFORE Congress returns to session. ([link removed]) We need all the support we can get.

Thank you,
