Right now, Republican officials are waging an all-out attack on the foundations of our democracy – and we can’t afford to ignore it. The abuses of power in GOP-controlled states are so extreme that even the ultraconservative Supreme Court has ordered Republicans to tone down their blatant discrimination and gerrymandering in the South. But as Republicans continue to defy the Court, that won’t be enough to stop them.

That’s why Emerge is taking action to replace far-right officials at every level of government and help achieve a representative democracy for our country. And we have a crucial update for you: We just kicked off our recruitment efforts for our Southern Regional Signature Program!

That means we’re increasing our efforts to empower more Democratic women to run for office and WIN in critical southern states, and we need your help to power our movement forward. We will actively recruit in states like Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida, and more!

Trailblazers like Georgia U.S. Representative Lucy McBath, Tennessee state Senator London Lamar, and Virginia state Delegate Danica Roem are all part of our growing ranks of powerful Emerge change-makers. But we can’t stop now.
