Dear John,
Last month, we alerted you to the fact that the Biden administration has been using the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to promote abortion and LGBT ideology overseas.
Will you send a message to your elected officials, asking them to stop Biden's hijacking of PEPFAR?
The mainstream media, rather than holding the Biden administration accountable for misusing such a vital program, has instead turned on those objecting to PEPFAR's change in direction, accusing them of sabotaging the program over imaginary concerns and not caring about the people in Africa who are struggling with AIDS.
The truth is, we don't have PEPFAR in our crosshairs, but rather President Biden's radical abortion activism - a dangerous threat that is seeking to "capture" PEPFAR within its net. The reality is, it isn't conservatives who have "moved the goalposts" on PEPFAR - but rather the Biden administration.
Organizations that perform and promote abortions are known to receive PEPFAR funds, and the Biden administration has rescinded the Mexico City Policy that would prevent federal funds from going to these organizations. Additionally, the Biden administration has itself confessed to using PEPFAR funds to promote its radical ideologies, releasing strategy documents highlighting its intent to partner with organizations to support "LGBTQI+ rights" and "sexual and reproductive health and rights."
Pro-life, pro-family organizations such as FRC are pushing to retain the integrity of PEPFAR so that the program remains focused on its intended goal of fighting the scourge of HIV/AIDS in the developing world. This we can all agree on.
Those raising the alarm about Biden's misuse of PEPFAR are not the problem--the Biden administration's destructive policies are.
Send a message to your elected officials now, asking them to support language in this year's PEPFAR reauthorization to keep the promotion of LGBT ideology and abortion out of the program!
Sincerely,
Travis Weber
