Friend,
Bernie Sanders is now the clear front-runner for the Democratic
nomination, and the freak-out at Comcast-owned MSNBC is out of control.
Chuck Todd has described Sanders supporters as "brown shirts," and James
Carville said that Vladimir Putin would celebrate Bernie's win in
Nevada.
Chris Matthews said that if the Soviet Union had won the Cold War,
Bernie would have been "cheering" for "executions in Central Park."
And then Matthews compared Bernie's win in Nevada to Hitler's 1940
invasion of France and suggested that the country would be better off
with four more years of Trump.
It got so bad that one of MSNBC's own political analysts called out the
network, saying they sounded "like out of touch aristocrats in a dying
aristocracy."
Common Dreams is the nonprofit, independent antidote to the corporate
media. Will you donate to help fund our coverage of the 2020 campaign
and counter the corporate media's smear of Bernie Sanders?

We knew that if any true progressive won the Democratic nomination, the
corporate media would lose their minds, especially MSNBC. MSNBC is owned
by Comcast, which spends tens of millions on campaign donations to
Republicans and corporate Democrats, as well as lobbying in favor of
policies like Trump's tax cuts, weakening antitrust enforcement, and
killing net neutrality.
Now MSNBC is showing that it will say and do anything to stop Bernie
Sanders—even if it means helping reelect Donald Trump.
It's not just MSNBC though. In fact, 90% of the news media is owned by
five corporations, and they'll do everything in their power to keep
themselves and their corporate allies in power in Washington. D.C.
But Common Dreams reports the news for the 99% and our voice is needed
now more than ever. Will you donate to help meet our Winter Fundraising
Campaign goal and support our ongoing coverage of the 2020 election?
