John, earlier this month, folks from across Ohio came together to defeat Issue 1, the Republican-backed effort to strip away our voting power and hand over our democracy to fringe extremists. 

If Issue 1 had passed, not only would it have weakened our democracy, but it would've been a win for the anti-choice advocates hoping to defeat an abortion rights measure that is on the ballot this November. 

But thanks to grassroots organizers and working folks across Ohio we were able to defend our democracy, and now we're one step closer to protecting abortion access for Ohioans.

But the fight isn't over, John, and those same anti-choice politicians are all in to defeat me because they know I'll never stop fighting to defend our right to choose.

I know firsthand what is possible when working families come together for a common goal because it was thanks to my people-powered team that I was able to win one of the most competitive House seats in the country last year. And I'm hoping that the same people-powered team will rally behind me now.
