Dear MoveOn member,
Instead of debating his fellow Republicans, Donald Trump is skipping town. While they take the stage for the first GOP debate, Trump will be hiding out with former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson for a one-on-one interview.1
A disgraced president being interviewed by a disgraced talk show host. A perfect pairing in today's MAGA GOP.
With that in mind, we thought what better time to drive some digital billboards around Mar-a-Lago reminding the world what Tucker actually thinks of Trump, and why Trump should be disqualified for president?
These billboards could have one side saying something like "No person shall … hold any office … who shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the [United States] … " 14th Amendment.2
With the other side saying "I HATE [TRUMP] PASSIONATELY." - Tucker Carlson, a direct quote from Carlson's own text messages about Trump.3
If Trump wants to upstage the Republican debate by doing an interview with Tucker, then we are going to upstage his theatrics. Because the other Republican candidates are too cowardly to really call out Trump—and will end up humiliated by his refusal to join them.
If we can raise the money, these digital billboards will drive around his house where the media will see them all week—a reminder of what the majority of Americans believe: that he is unfit to hold office.
But let's be clear: We aren't doing this simply because it will be fun to see Trump's reaction (it will) or fun to see all the social media attention these billboards will undoubtedly receive (that too) or fun to see Republicans in Florida demand they be turned off (that will be the best).
We are doing it to make a bigger point.
We plan to do it because defeating Trump and keeping him out of the White House will take actions from us and our allies on all fronts. We must do whatever it takes to keep this white supremacist out of the White House. Women's rights. Trans rights. Economic equality. Our climate. All demand we act in every way we can.
So, imagine how good it will make you feel to know your $3 donation went to a digital billboard that drove around Mar-a-Lago reminding the world that Tucker Carlson said, "THERE REALLY ISN'T AN UPSIDE TO TRUMP."4 Followed by the simple message:
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile," filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into 2024, we need your help.
