Senator John Cornyn was in Fort Worth last week, kicking-off early voting in Texas and sitting down with NBC5 – Lone Star Politics’ Julie Fine.
The senator talked about issues ranging from lessons learned in the 2018 midterm elections, impeachment, his bill to lower prescription drug costs, and how Republicans are going to unite to ensure victories from the White House to the courthouse.
“We know Texas has changed demographically because people are moving here, because we’re a great job creating engine. We got to communicate to those folks and remind them why it is that Texas is so prosperous; why we have created so many jobs; and why we have to preserve that.”
“President Trump has a lot to campaign about: the USMCA, strongest economy in 50 years, lowest unemployment rate, strong support for our military. I think he has a lot to talk about.”
