CAPITOL CAMPUS UPDATE
Expect noise and a sidewalk closure on East Capitol Campus Friday, Aug. 25
*Scope & Impact:* Visitors to the East Capitol Campus should expect noise from chainsaws and a woodchipper. The work zone and a sidewalk will be blocked off for the safety of pedestrians.
*Where:* The raised planter bed at the northwest corner of the?Department of Transportation?s headquarters [ [link removed] ] building on the East Capitol Campus. The sidewalk connecting this work area and Capitol Way will also be utilized by the contractor.
*When: *Work begins 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25 and will take approximately four hours to complete.
*Why: *A dead 30-foot red maple tree is being removed to maintain safety in the area.
"All work is weather dependent. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with Treewalker LLC in Olympia for this effort."
