Dear John,
There’s just nine days to go until it’s August 31st and OLCV stops accepting submissions for our Photo Contest. Right now, we have over 200 entries! Thank you to everyone who sent in their photos. Here are a few we got recently that I hope you'll enjoy:
Brianna Quinn Lewis submitted a haunting photo of Ashland that she took "when the fires were really bad and the smoke was intense."
Carlos G captured this beautiful double rainbow while driving on the South 5 between Salem and Albany, adding "just nature showing off now!"
Stephen Ducat in Joseph, OR sent in this photo, writing "Here, my canine collaborator, Riley, stops to vogue on a log bench on our jaunt through Iwetemlykin State Park. Chief Joseph Mountain still retains its spring snow in the background."
And Will Hobbs sent in this glorious picture of the Three Sisters.
If you haven’t entered our photo contest yet, you have nine days to send up to three photos of Oregon to [email protected] with the subject “Photo Contest”. In the body of the email, please include your name, where you took the photo, and a couple sentences about why the photos you’re sending are meaningful to you. Unlike previous years, we do not have categories for OLCV's 2023 Photo Contest, so show your love for our state however you want! You can send in photos of your friends and family enjoying the outdoors, your surroundings and community during extreme weather events, or nature nearby.
I can't wait to see them!
Thank you,
Jane Kwon
