Dear neighbors,
Last weekend I was glad to attend the Newport Lodge No. 118 Pancake Breakfast in Saint Paul Park. It was great to get together with members of the community and support a good cause.
It is almost time for the Great Minnesota Get-Together! Every year I enjoy attending the fair and participating in the Minnesota House Public Information booth, where you can meet state legislators, participate in a poll of issues facing the legislature, and come get a paper Capitol dome hat.
I will be at the House Public Information Booth from 10:00am?12:00pm on the first two days of the State Fair, Thursday August 24th and Friday August 25th, and staff and other representatives will be taking shifts throughout the week. The House Public Information booth is located in the Education Building, and you can find a map here.
Metro Transit will be running additional transit options to get to the fair, including an express bus line every day, leaving approximately every 30 minutes from the Cottage Grove Park & Ride, along Hwy. 61 on W. Point Douglas Rd. between 80th St. & Jamaica Ave. You can find ticket information on the Fair?s webpage.
You can visit the Eco Experience, put on by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and highlighting Minnesota?s air, water, soil, and the steps we are taking to protect our environment and climate?as well as a giant Loon. I also would encourage visitors to check out the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Park and Building at the Fair, which has great attractions and programming throughout the duration of the fair.
Please continue to share your questions, ideas, and feedback throughout the legislative session. You can reach me by email at?[email protected]?or by phone at 651-296-6828. You can contact my Legislative Assistant Sam O'Neill at 651-296-3305 or via email at?[email protected].?
Sincerely,
Rick Hansen State Representative
