Hello from St. Paul,
?
This month, area nursing homes began receiving new and critical funding and I?m pleased to have supported this new law.
?
Nursing homes are critical components of our communities. One of my top priorities last session was to ensure that our nursing homes obtained additional resources to help them care for the elderly and our most vulnerable residents, and I?m glad that revenue has begun to make its way to our local facilities.
?
A $300 million nursing home package was unanimously approved by the Minnesota House near the end of session. Over half of the funds, $173 million, went to direct payments to nursing homes.
