I’m so excited, because this month, we celebrated ONE YEAR of the CHIPS and Science Act!
Just over three years ago, I introduced the original CHIPS Act to address an urgent economic and national security threat – America’s decline in the strategically important semiconductor industry. Our bipartisan effort paid off when President Biden signed the CHIPS Act into law.

Over this past year, we’ve been working on the rollout of the CHIPS & Science Act. I’m committed to get CHIPS funding out the door to bring semiconductor manufacturing back to our country and build, train, and retain the skilled and diverse workforce we need.
Since the CHIPS Act was signed into law, the private sector has already announced more than $230 billion in semiconductor manufacturing investments in the United States! American innovators are lined up to create jobs and train the workers to supercharge our economy.
