The people of Ecuador scored a huge victory for the planet and against Big Oil, and your support was a part of that effort!

Together, thousands of voices amplified the importance of protecting Yasuní National Park, one of the most biodiverse places on Earth and home to Ecuador’s last isolated Indigenous peoples. However, the resistance must continue to safeguard all of the Amazon rainforest and secure the full recognition of Indigenous rights throughout the region.

CELEBRATE THE YASUNÍ VICTORY BY DEMANDING THE PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES IN VOLUNTARY ISOLATION ACROSS THE AMAZON!

This victory was no small feat. We went head-to-head against oil industry interests that have polluted and violated rights in the rainforest for decades. The vote also doubled down on a shift in investors' priorities, which now includes six major banks that have opted out of Amazon oil. We will continue pushing other financiers to do the same. Now Big Oil has heard our message: The time to End Amazon Crude is now!

Almost 60% of Ecuadorians voted to halt the country’s largest oil project underneath Yasuní National Park and permanently keep an estimated 1 billion barrels of oil in the ground. With this decision, Ecuadorians and Indigenous peoples are positioning the country as a leader in the global movement to phase out fossil fuels to avert climate catastrophe!

Take action here to make sure all Amazonian governments protect isolated peoples' rights and the rainforest they call home!
