So, you think an independent can never win the presidency? Let me take you back to June 1992 and give you three numbers.

Hi Friend,

So, you think an independent can never win the presidency?

Let me take you back to June 1992 and give you three numbers:

- Ross Perot – 39%
- George H.W. Bush – 31%
- Bill Clinton – 25%

That was the Gallup Poll ([link removed] ) , just five months before the 1992 presidential election, showing independent Ross Perot opening up an eight-point lead.

Few remember this because Perot’s campaign cratered soon after amid his erratic behavior and unforced errors:

- Perot suspended his campaign in July 1992, with a columnist writing ([link removed] ) at the time that he just “could not stomach politics.”
- He reentered the race in early October 1992, alleging ([link removed] ) the Bush campaign had tried to wiretap his offices and ruin him financially.
- Later that month ([link removed] ) , his vice-presidential nominee, war hero and retired Admiral James Stockdale, had one of the worse debate performances of the TV era.

Perot reentered the race polling at ([link removed] ) an average of 10% before rallying late to finish with 19% of the popular vote (and no electoral votes).

Now, it’s 32 years later, and Americans have never been more dissatisfied with the two major parties or less enthusiastic about their presumptive presidential nominees.

Look at the data:

- 45% ([link removed] ) of Americans self-identify as independent, compared to only 33% who said they were independents when Perot ran.
- 72% ([link removed] ) of registered voters don’t want Joe Biden to run in 2024.
- 63% ([link removed] ) don’t want Donald Trump to run.

This represents a Mack Truck-sized opening for an independent ticket.

The broken political establishment in both parties knows it, which is why they are going to such extreme lengths to try to destroy No Labels and deny us ballot access in the states.

Fortunately, their antidemocratic campaign isn’t working because No Labels is offering Americans the one thing our major parties refuse to give them.

A choice.

Our movement is now on the ballot ([link removed] ) in 10 states for 2024, and we’re on track to get on the ballot in all 50 states by next year.

In 1992, Perot showed it was possible for an independent to compete.

In 2024, an independent Unity ticket has a chance to win, but we can’t do it without your support so pitch in $25, $50, or even $100 and make this victory a reality ([link removed] ) !
