Dear John,
The Starbucks Workers United union has shown terrific early success, winning union elections at more than 300 stores covering over 8,000 workers.
But while Starbucks claims to be a “progressive” corporation, its leadership has engaged in a massive union busting campaign. In the roughly two years since organizing began, unionized shops have been shuttered, pro-union workers have been fired, and Starbucks has refused to negotiate a first contract in good faith with Starbucks Workers United.
Check out our new video and see how unionized baristas have made great gains -- and learn more about Starbucks’ egregious response! Yuck!
The Starbucks Workers United campaign has inspired young workers across the country and breathed life into a U.S. labor movement that has been all too stagnant for decades. But Starbucks is a powerful corporation, and appears to be unwilling to change its anti-union ways.
That’s why I’ve personally been boycotting Starbucks, and hope you’ll consider joining me.
Now is an opportunity for all of us to make our voices heard and to tell Starbucks to stop UNION BUSTING and bargain in good faith with Starbucks Workers United.
Watch our latest video to learn more about what we can do to support them today!
