I'm Emma, Joanna Weiss’s campaign manager. I couldn’t be prouder to join Joanna’s team, and am thrilled to be able to work to keep California’s 47th District blue.
Joanna’s race is unique. The 47th District is the only Democratic-held seat in California that’s both open and considered a toss-up. Keeping this seat blue also happens to be critical in our efforts of retaking the House majority.
I wouldn’t have joined Joanna’s team if I didn’t think she was up for the challenge. Her work as a law school professor and community activist has been incredibly inspiring to me – especially her work organizing women to help advance Democratic values and ethics.
As a fellow woman in politics, I know how critical her voice is for our community and in Congress.
As hopeful as I am, I know it will be an uphill battle against the GOP. Republicans are determined to flip this seat and keep their grip on the House. We recently got word that a super PAC aligned with Kevin McCarthy has already committed to spend
$100+ million on districts like ours.
