First a warm-up question: What do swimming, track, soccer, bowling, AND Topgolf have in common? 🤔
If you’re Macy from Special Olympics Nebraska, pictured above, these are all awesome sports you’re playing and/or competing in right now – even earning medals at statewide games!! You’re excelling across all of these different sports, making great friends, and proving that athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) can achieve anything.
And you’re doing all of it at 13 years old!
Macy is a Special Olympics superstar, and she started her journey with us as a young athlete. Special Olympics Young Athletes is an exciting early childhood play program for kids with and without ID, designed to introduce basic motor, learning, and socializing skills. Young Athletes fosters strong senses of play, joy, and inclusion in young participants, and it helps establish a foundation of physical activity and spirited community for life.
We’re proud of each and every Young Athlete we’re able to support, and we know they’ll soar to new heights just like Macy. So here’s the real quiz question for you…
