I’m keeping up the fight to defend every person’s reproductive freedom and abortion access.
The attacks on reproductive freedom and abortion access continue, John.
Last week, a right-wing U.S. appeals court ruled in favor of restricting mifepristone, the most commonly used abortion medication that was approved by the FDA over 20 years ago.
While mifepristone will remain FDA approved and available on the market for now, access to medication abortion is hanging by a thread. This decision opens the door for GOP-controlled states to further limit access to this widely used abortion pill in the future.
Now, the case moves to the U.S. Supreme Court, giving the anti-choice right-wing majority the power to massively curtail our reproductive freedom and access to abortion care once again. Nearly 1 in 3 people lost access to legal abortion care after the extremist Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade — we can’t let them roll back access to fundamental reproductive care even further.
These efforts to ban or restrict mifepristone ignore decades of scientific research and threaten millions of people’s bodily autonomy, and will disproportionately harm poor, Black, and brown communities who already lack access to abortion care. That's intentional.
As long as I’m in Congress, I’m fighting to codify our reproductive freedom and expand the Court to prevent right-wing judicial overreach — but our right-wing opponents like AIPAC are already beginning to fundraise and recruit someone to challenge me in 2024.
Will you rush $5 or whatever you can right now to fuel our grassroots campaign and keep a reproductive rights champion fighting for you in Congress?
