Just because there is state, federal, and Wall Street money doesn't make it a good project.‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Greetings this Monday, John.

We all want our roads, streets, and sidewalks maintained. So, why is it so difficult?

Better yet: Why are we building more and more roads when our cities don't have the money to take care of what we've already built?

These are questions I struggled with as an engineer. While there are all kinds of places to find money to build new stuff, there are few funds for basic maintenance. So guess where we focus our energy?

You can get the whole story here, including the simple two letter word that will put your community on the path to financial prosperity.

Every city has the resources needed to be successful. Tell someone you know that we can build a prosperous place, and avoid the cycle of decline, by following a Strong Towns approach.

Thank you for all you do to make your community stronger. Keep going!
