At the end of summer, there’s usually anticipation and anxiety about getting
back to school and seeing all your friends. But, in recent years, parents,
students, teachers, and school staff are anxious that another school shooter is
going to walk through the front door.

Because when school is in session, we don’t feel safe and secure anymore.

I don’t want to sound like a downer, but it’s the harsh reality of our world
and country. That’s why we must elect leaders to Congress who fight for
students, teachers, and families. Someone who will pass common sense gun
legislation and who will do all that they can to prevent another horrific
tragedy from happening.

That person is my mom.

John James doesn’t care about Michigan families. He cares about his image and
party. Students, teachers, and everyday families are the last thing on his
mind. While he brags about his A+ rating with the NRA, people are dying, and
families are grieving.

We have had enough, and we're ready for change.
