Yesterday, I was a guest on Meet the Press to discuss the first upcoming Republican primary debate of the 2024 election season.

Let me reiterate what I told Chuck Todd: This isn’t our parents’ Republican Party. This field of GOP candidates is the weirdest, far-right, and extreme I’ve seen in my lifetime. 

While President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are delivering real results for real people, these Republican candidates are trying to out-MAGA each other in any way they can.

They’re banning books, attacking the LGBTQ+ community, and championing atrocious 6-week abortion bans that Republican governors are signing across the country, including right across the border in Iowa.

John, our nation cannot afford another four years of Donald Trump or any other MAGA Republican in the White House. We must hold the line up and down the ballot next year to defend our values and keep moving forward.

I will continue doing everything I can to keep Minnesota blue and re-elect President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, but the work cannot continue without your support.
