Team:
Trump received his fourth round of indictments, bringing his criminal counts to a total of 91. This latest indictment came from a Georgia grand jury referencing Trump’s (alleged) conspiracy to steal the 2020 election.
Michigan is referenced heavily in the Georgia indictment, from Trump’s secret D.C. meeting with then-Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and then-House Speaker Lee Chatfield to attempts made to steal Michigan’s electoral college votes from President Biden, who won Michigan by more than 154,000 votes.
Here’s the thing: We know that these criminal charges won’t stop Trump from running for the White House. He could run for president from prison and if elected, he could have the power to pardon himself for his crimes.
Defeating Trump and his allies at the ballot box next year is critical, and Michigan will be one of the most important battleground states. The work we do right now is going to make or break the success of our winning grassroots strategy to get Democrats to the polls, but we can’t do it without you.
