URGENT
Hi John,
In 48 hours, Members of Parliament debate a new law determining the fate of our ocean.
It’s called the Environment Bill. And so far, it’s not good enough. But the law isn’t final yet - so we can change that!
URGENT: EMAIL YOUR MP NOW [[link removed]]
We need MPs to fight for the ocean at Wednesday's debate and raise these vital points. The Bill must:
Protect the ocean with the strongest protection applied to 30% of our seas.Set ambitious, legally binding targets on plastic pollution, climate change and water quality that can't be rolled back.Improve bathing water quality testing and drive high standards for river health.Focus on reducing plastic production and consumption, not just recycling.Create a powerful independent watchdog to hold the government to account.
Can you send your MP an email [[link removed]] sounding the alarm? If enough MPs speak up at the debate, we’ll be on the right path to getting the strong law we need for the ocean.
48 HOURS TO GO: EMAIL YOUR MP [[link removed]]
We’re getting a new Environment Bill because Brexit means Europe no longer sets the standards for protecting our environment. And Europe’s courts can’t enforce the rules.
You and I are part of #GenerationSea, the last generation who can save the ocean. So we need to act fast. Can you send your MP a quick email [[link removed]] asking for their support?
Thank you,
Amy S
