John, election Integrity is one of the top priorities for me in this campaign...ensuring we have free and fair elections that voters can TRUST.
One common-sense way to do that is requiring an ID to cast a ballot. Another is to monitor drop boxes with security cameras to ensure they aren't tampered with.
Well, the city ofHuntington Beach unveiled new proposals to do exactly that in their elections ... but my Democrat opponent Dave Min is trying to stop them.
It's alarming to see Min resort to disproven attacks about voter suppression. Do you remember what happened after Georgia passed an Election Integrity law? They broke an election turnout record!
Min attacked that law as a "blatant attack on the Constitution." He was wrong then...and he's wrong now.
If Sacramento refuses to do anything to boost confidence in our elections, then I believe Huntington Beach should be applauded for doing what they can in their own city.
