We should all be so proud of the incredible effort put in by England?s Women in the World Cup.
Whilst it wasn?t the result we all wanted, the fact they are the first England football team to make a World Cup Final since 1966 is a tremendous achievement.
The team really has left a lasting legacy, which has helped promote and elevate women?s football both locally and across the world.
A special mention to Nottingham?s Mary Earps, who has put in the most fantastic performance during the tournament and was awarded the coveted Golden Glove award because of this. It just shows she is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The Ronald Street playground in Radford officially re-opens this week, after being redeveloped by the Council and supported by a ?100,000 grant from FCC Communities Foundation.
The new playground features new slides, swings, see saws, toddler play areas, plus a new fitness area. We will also be unveiling a 10-meter long ?Build Create Play? public artwork, which has been designed and produced by artist Ismail Khokon through a series of creative workshops with local children ? exploring what play means to them and the materials, shapes and colours that spark their imaginations. Artist Charlotte Tupper and playworker Ben Rodgers have co-developed the project with Ismail and the young people.
Alongside the artwork on Ronal Street Playground, we will also be launching a new set of Build Create Play banners on Primary?s Facade.
There will be an official ribbon cutting to open the playground and launch the artwork, followed by drinks, snacks and games on the playground and all are welcome!

The sun was shining for the colourful Nottingham Carnival at Victoria Embankment yesterday. This year?s event celebrated 75 years since the arrival of the Empire Windrush, which brought Caribbean carnival culture to the UK. It also acknowledged the 65th anniversary of the first ever outdoor Nottingham Caribbean Carnival which took place at Victoria Embankment in 1958.
Thousands gathered for this fabulous celebration on the banks of the River Trent. There were spectacular costumes for the Carnival Parade, featuring numerous troupes from Nottingham and around the country. The Carnival festival had four stages of live music and Carnival sound systems, traditional Caribbean cuisine, fairground rides and activities for children.
