John, this email is a bit longer than usual. I wanted to take the time to tell you what’s at stake in this election — not just as a candidate, but as a dad. I’d love it if you’d take the time to read the whole thing — but if you’re in a rush, could you chip in $15 before you go to power my grassroots campaign and defeat Don Bacon? >>
John, you know me as a teacher, a Nebraska State Senator and candidate for Congress.
But more than anything, I’m a dad.
My wife Lauren and I with the kids at Disney!
I feel a responsibility to my kids — and every child in our country — to leave them a state, country, and planet better than I found them.
That means:
- Fully funding our public schools and stopping attacks on our teachers and librarians
- Ensuring every Nebraskan has access to health care and reproductive freedom
- Passing gun safety laws to protect our schools, churches, and communities — not NRA profits
John, I have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to flip this seat and put our families first — not corporate CEO’s or party bosses. I’m running to win this race for my kids and yours, but I can’t do it alone. Please, can you chip in $15 before midnight? >>
John, I’ll be blunt: Don Bacon doesn’t have our families’ best interests at heart.
- His budget proposal ELIMINATES free school meals for children across the country
- He voted to SLASH education funding and cut over 100,000 teaching jobs
- He put the NRA over public safety and voted AGAINST bipartisan gun reform
- He threatened to CRASH the economy in order to force cuts to Social Security and Medicare
And he’s been funneled more than $1.4 MILLION to buy himself another term and keep voting against our families for another two years.
That’s why I’m reaching out and asking you personally if you’ll chip in $15 to fund my grassroots campaign. Please, John: For my family and yours, can I count on you? >>
Thank you for fighting with me,
Tony
