John,

Anti-abortion fake clinics, that not only don’t offer abortion but exist solely to manipulate people out of wanted abortion care, are having a moment. They are emboldened by the Dobbs ruling overturning Roe, and are frequently given puff pieces in major newspapers. [1]

We have been fighting these deceptive fake clinics for years. Help us continue with a donation today.

So, it seemed like a step in the right direction when Google announced last summer that it would only show verified providers when users searched for abortion clinics. [2]

Was it enough? Hell no. The moment requires bold action beyond a label. Give now.

But, even worse was this summer’s reveal that despite the accolades Google was getting in the press for their verification system, they were earning millions of dollars allowing anti-abortion fake clinics to advertise on their platform. [3]

This is wrong. Donate to our work holding these tech companies accountable for their soft stance on bodily autonomy.

Sincerely,

Shireen Shakouri
Deputy Director, Reproaction

P.S. Big tech cannot play both sides. They must stand up for abortion rights now.
