Sundown Adventureland is a fun family day out whatever the weather. It's a uniquely designed theme park for children under 10. Families can run, jump and explore the indoor and outdoor rides and attractions. Drive the Tractors, ride a Wild Ostrich, learn to drive at Monkey Mayhem and even fly a Pink Giddy Piggy!
You can also spend a weekend break at the wonderful new Wild Acre Village right alongside the park, with beautifully designed family lodges designed for 5-10 people, many with hot tubs. All have been thoughtfully and individually designed for families to enjoy together. You'll even get free tickets to visit Sundown whenever you like during your stay.
Sundown has been shortlisted in the UK Theme Park Awards for Best Theme Park for Toddlers and Best Customer Service.

The Lost City Adventure Golf is turning 10 years old on Saturday 26 August and you’re invited to celebrate! Head to the stunning rainforest venue in The Cornerhouse for a Birthday Fiesta, in the heart of Nottingham.
Birthday party visitors can play 2 games of adventure golf for £10 all day as well as sipping 2 for £10 cocktails. Enjoy free glitter face painting all afternoon, live music from local artists and, of course, free birthday cake (first come first served)!
Innovative Mexican pop-up Tacolypto are taking over the kitchen for the day, serving up a special taco menu with an exclusive tequila cocktail menu provided by El Sueno tequila for the grown-ups to enjoy.
The Lost City Adventure Golf is open 7 days a week from 10am and you can book all tickets online, including Birthday Fiesta tickets, or just turn up and buy on the day.

Offering 4K projection, 7.1 surround sound and high-end comfort, Broadway is one of the UK’s leading independent cinemas, attracting over 400,000 visitors each year.
It’s the only cinema in the world with a screen designed by Sir Paul Smith, and has hosted premieres - both unofficial and official - for international filmmakers such as Shane Meadows and Quentin Tarantino, with their legacy adorning the walls of the upstairs bar.

Nottingham Contemporary is one of the largest galleries of contemporary art in the UK, hosting free, regularly changing exhibitions of international art. Nottingham Contemporary is set in an iconic building, designed by the award-winning architects Caruso St John, in the heart of the city centre.
Alongside the exhibitions, Nottingham Contemporary runs a full programme of events, including talks, film screenings, music and performances. Free drop-in family activities take place every weekend and throughout school holidays.
The café, Ottar at Contemporary, serves a seasonal and varied menu.

Bromley House Library

Founded in 1816, Bromley House Library is a flourishing independent library situated in the centre of Nottingham, and is one of the few remaining subscription libraries in the country.
The library houses around 40,000 books and has a tranquil atmosphere. There are many fine reading rooms spread over three floors of a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse. In addition, there is a beautiful walled garden, one of only two in the city centre. The library is a pleasant place to work, relax or read.
There is a guided tour every Wednesday afternoon at 2.30pm (pre-booking required).

Papplewick Pumping Station

Papplewick Pumping Station is the finest working Victorian water pumping station in Britain. The site has recently undergone extensive restoration.
It boasts a range of original features including an ornate Engine House, ornamental cooling pond and a Boiler House complete with six Lancashire Boilers, all set amidst formal landscaped grounds.
The Pumping Station holds regular steaming events throughout the year where visitors can see the boilers and pumping engines in steam, and take guided tours into the underground reservoir.

The Harley Foundation is an educational arts charity on the historic Welbeck estate near Worksop. It was set up in 1978 by Ivy, Duchess of Portland, who wanted to ‘encourage creativity in all of us’.
Visit the free entry gallery and museum and you’ll find a world-class historic art collection, contemporary exhibitions and family activities.
Explore the spaces further and you’ll discover a community of artists, countryside art trail and events for everyone.
