VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump’s closest ally throws him under the bus in federal trial
Former Trump chief of staff and indicted co-conspirator Mark Meadows apparently told special counsel Jack Smith on the record that the beleaguered ex-president never ordered or even discussed declassifying top secret materials prior to leaving the White House, poking a huge, deeply problematic hole in just one of the the serial grifter's many piss-poor lines of defense.
Trump snubs first GOP debate, wants one-on-one interview with Tucker Carlson instead
While nothing has been confirmed, the disgraced ex-president and Republican frontrunner is apparently seeking a sit-down with white nationalist-sympathizer and man just asking questions Tucker Carlson as a means of counter-programming and derailing the party's official kickoff off the 2024 presidential campaign, hosted by — you guessed it — Fox News. Trump, Carlson, Fox, and the GOP at loggerheads before the party's even started... You love to hate to see it.

Republican candidates screw THEMSELVES ahead of first debate
No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen: Unbelievable...
🚨 Brian Tyler Cohen launched a Spanish YouTube channel! The left has a huge problem reaching Spanish speaking audiences, and our vote share among Spanish speakers is actually declining, so please spread the Democrats' message by subscribing to his channel (and watch some videos to get them going in the algorithm) by clicking here.
GOP Sen. Bill Cassidy says Trump should drop out of the 2024 presidential race
Describing the federal charges related to the serial grifter's theft and mishandling of classified documents as “almost a slam dunk," Louisiana's Bill Cassidy said Trump should drop out of the 2024 race, because having a convicted felon at the top of the ticket against Joe Biden will apparently be a harder sell to Republican voters. Not hard enough to deter Cassidy from voting for Trump, of course. Asked whether he would vote for Biden if Trump ultimately wins the Republican nomination, Cassidy said: “I’m going to vote for a Republican." Party over country, folks.

Republican presidential candidate claims Newsmax tried to make him pay for coverage
Newsmax network chief Chris Ruddy apparently told future Republican presidential also-ran Vivek Ramaswamy during a private call earlier this summer that if he wanted more coverage on the propaganda outlet, he should pay for it. Ramaswamy had complained Newsmax was sticking him in little-watched midday slots or ignoring him outright. Ruddy's solution? Buy more ads. Quid pro quo, much?

Giuliani claims to have "scientific" evidence of 2020 fraud
What a coincidence! Special counsel Jack Smith also has scientific evidence of 2020 election fraud. Let's see how this plays out.

Pence says he won't hold Trump to "same standard" as he did to expelled Democrat
Once upon a time, a young congressman named Mike Pence voted to expel a Democrat from Congress after he was convicted of ten crimes. Fast forward to yesterday, ABC's Jonathan Karl asked Pence if he would hold his former boss — turned attempted hanging instigator turned presidential opponent — to the same standard if he is convicted of his any of his 91 felony accusations. No, Pence explained, it's different. See if you can spot the difference.

Can you chip in to help keep Trump's most radical minions out of office?
Now-withdrawn affidavit in bogus newspaper raid shows police ignored Kansas open records laws
The now-withdrawn documents used to justify a search of the Marion County Record show that the Marion police chief knew a reporter was legally verifying the authenticity of a local business owner’s driving record by searching on the Kansas Department of Revenue’s public website, but approved of the raid and seizure of property anyway. Joan Meyer, the 98-year-old co-owner of the local newspaper, died the following day. Marion County Record publisher Eric Meyer believes the stress of the unprecedented Aug. 11 raid on their home and the newsroom was a contributing factor in his mother's death.
