Money well spent? Congress has funded the Ukrainian war effort to the tune of $113 billion, yet when it comes to aiding Americans in disaster-stricken Hawaii, it pulls the purse strings tight.
- The $113 billion for Ukraine equates to “$900 per American household and almost 12 times the spending cuts promised by House leadership in the annual spending bills,” says Richard Stern, director of Heritage’s Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget.

Heritage Mourns the Loss of James L. Buckley
The former U.S. senator and judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit died last week at the age of 100.
Heritage founder Ed Fuelner said that: “Jim Buckley devoted his life to defending constitutional principles of liberty, prosperity, and civil society.”
