WE DID IT, MAHALO!

Aloha Patriots,

On Saturday evening over fifty members enjoyed an evening of fellowship, good food, and the inspirational words of our special guest, from the free state of Florida, Nick Adams.

Nick stated, political correctness, wokeism, and cancel culture is the war we are fighting. It’s a street fight and all of us must get in the fight, or the America we know and love, and the America I immigrated to, will be lost! America is the greatest country in the world!

Nick firmly believes that to combat the 60 years of the progressive left's slow destruction of America, we need to begin with our children and the generations to come. That is why he founded The Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness® ([link removed]) , also known as FLAG, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Americans about the values and principles that make our nation exceptional. To achieve this mission, FLAG promotes and provides high-quality civics education to K-12 students across the country, and impact American culture in a way that preserves our exceptional American value system for generations to come. Nick's words should remind all of us of the famous statement from WWII by Lutheran Pastor Martin Niemoller: "First they came for..." ([link removed])

I’m very proud of the results of the Statehood Day Revive and Thrive Fundraiser. I’m even prouder of the event team and there isn’t enough I can say about how inspiring they were to me, everyone really worked hard. They showed what we can do together. They dedicated their time, treasure, and talent to make this event successful. They believe in what I believe in….hope, and I love them all!

Although everyone has been devasted with the tragedy of the Maui fires. The event team, as well as our guest speaker Nick Adams and the other speakers, felt it was the right thing to do to energize and give hope, not only to people of Maui, but to the Hawaii Republican Party.

Being from Maui I felt compelled to follow through with the event. I was proud to see that five other members from Maui flew to Oahu to support the event and stand together, to let everyone know that we were Maui strong, and we wouldn’t let the fire bring us down. We wanted to work together united, to show that we can overcome anything. It was our choice. After the event was over, all of us headed back home and we will continue to care for those who are in need of assistance, and to comfort those who are mourning. We hope that we can inspire others, especially members of the Hawaii Republican Party to set things aside because there are bigger obstacles to overcome. The good thing that comes out of a tragedy is people come together, to be there for one another, and to take care of each other.

The Hawaii Republican Party is about the people, it’s about faith, it’s about unity, it’s about coming together, it’s about electing candidates who will represent us, and it’s about doing what is right from the grassroots up. We are seeing all over our state and country authoritarian rule in both parties. It’s time for this to stop and for all of us in the party to take back what belongs to the people.

We have a platform that can do good by the people of Hawaii. We need to find good candidates to represent the people, and change the political landscape in Hawaii. We all have a personal responsibility to choose the right way. We have no time to waste with internal feuds. As Nick Adams said, the left’s agenda is to tear the land of the free apart and we need to start fighting to save the greatest nation on this planet. Is your pride more important than saving our state and country? We have to start standing up and fighting for the people of Hawaii and the United States of America…the home of the brave, the land of the free.

Tamara McKay
HRP Finance Chair

Other speakers included Junior Tupai, Minority House Leader Lauren Matsumoto-Cheape, interim Hawaii Republican Party State Chair Laura Nakanelua, Hawaii Federation of Republican Woman President Jamie Detwiler, Hawaii Young Republicans President Jacob Wiencek, and Hawaii Convention of States Action State Director Mark White.

Additionally, Adriel Lam did a mock Presidential Primary election. Demonstrating just how easy it can be to do an election with paper ballots, hand counting and hand tallying.

We are proud to announce that thanks to the generous donations of many of our members, we were able to raise over five thousand dollars and over twelve hundred dollars for Maui fire relief efforts.

Big MAHALO to all our volunteers that helped with fixing up and painting HQ, those that helped with the set-up and food serving, and our security personnel.
