I’m the team’s online fundraiser, which means I’m constantly asking folks to chip in a few dollars to our campaign, and refreshing our contribution pages to keep track of how much we raise from emails like this. I also look at stats like what percentage of folks regularly engage with our content, how many new grassroots donors are joining our team, and what our average donation is.
That brings me to my next point. I was crunching some numbers this morning, and wanted to share that last week, our average online donation was $27.29! This is particularly exciting to me, because it goes to show that we’re building our campaign brick by brick, dollar by dollar, one supporter at a time.
Grassroots donations really do make a difference, and when our supporters come together and chip in what they can — be it $5, $10, or $27.29 at a time — that’s how we build a campaign that is capable of taking on whatever folks like Mitch McConnell throw our way.
