Standing up for Washingtonians is why I'm running for Governor
This week I announced a lawsuit against O’Reilly Auto Parts for their discrimination and retaliation against pregnant workers.
I’ll give you the details in a moment. But standing up for Washingtonians is exactly why I’m running for Governor.

O'Reilly Auto Parts had a top-down practice of discrimination that caused physical and emotional harm to many pregnant Washingtonians. O'Reilly denied them the ability to sit or rest, refused to limit lifting or handling hazardous materials, and gave pregnant employees no flexibility for restroom breaks or pumping breast milk.
O’Reilly Auto Parts then retaliated against the workers who sought to end these unlawful practices — demoting them, forcing them to take unpaid leave, and even terminating them.
Washingtonians suffered physically, emotionally, and financially, which is why I’m holding O’Reilly Auto Parts accountable.
