NEWS DIGEST

Good morning,
Do Democrats control the Texas House?
That's the question posed in the latest documentary from Texas Scorecard: The Texas Heist [[link removed]].
For some time now, Texans have been asking, “Who runs the Texas House?” They point to a GOP-dominated chamber that nonetheless fails to deliver on key conservative reforms. They express frustration that of those that get passed, many are watered down, while others take an unnecessarily long time to get across the finish line.
“The Texas Heist” looks at how the Lone Star State reached this place politically, who is responsible, and what can be done about it. The documentary features interviews with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, Texas GOP Chairman Matt Rinaldi, State Rep. Tony Tinderholt, conservative pundit Luke Macias, grassroots activist Julie McCarty, former lawmakers Rick Green, Jonathan Stickland, and Bill Zedler, as well as State Republican Executive Committee members Jill Glover and Rachel Horton.
