John, I can't tell you how grateful I am to have you on this team.

When I first announced my campaign for Senate six months ago, I knew that the path to victory would be anything but easy. I knew that Black women like myself have historically raised just a fraction of what white candidates do, and I knew that I would be working with less than my opponents. 

But what I didn't know is that my campaign would attract resilient, fearless grassroots supporters like you.

John, I'm incredibly grateful that you found your way to my team and that you're investing your precious time and energy into my campaign. It's thanks to folks like you that I've been able to close the gap to a statistical tie with my two far better funded opponents.

But, as I'm sure you know, the hard part isn't over yet.

By now, you've heard that we were outraised and outspent last quarter by Adam Schiff – but the bad news doesn't stop there. The New York Times has also reported that this may be the most expensive race in the country next year. And listen, I don't need to raise the most in this race – but I do need to raise enough to compete with my opponents.
