With all the climate-driven weather events and disasters happening now — deadly wildfires in Hawaii, record breaking temperatures across the world, the hottest July ever recorded, pervasive droughts, unusually violent weather systems, and the first recorded hurricane heading for Southern California — it’s clear that climate change is already taking a toll. Our new reality is wreaking havoc on our weather patterns and altering everything from temperatures and sea levels to agriculture and geopolitical boundaries.

But there are Republicans who have their heads in the sand, claiming that climate change is a hoax or some conspiracy theory dreamed up by Democrats.
To those climate change deniers, we say this: Wake up. Wake up now. Scientists have been warning us for decades about the impacts of human-made climate change. Well, those impacts are here. Now all anyone has to do to know that climate change is real is to take their head out of the sand.
