It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
The Vergas Post Office held a rededication ceremony last Friday, in honor of former Carrier Jon Glawe. Jon, a U.S. Army veteran, dedicated 36 years of his life to delivering mail to Vergas and its neighboring areas. Working closely with the Postal Service, my office spearheaded this effort to honor Jon Glawe's outstanding commitment to service, both in the military, as a mail carrier and to the greater Vergas community.
On Thursday, I was in Avon for another post office dedication ceremony. Minnesota National Guardsman W.O.C. Kort Plantenberg was killed in a helicopter crash in 2019 along with two fellow Guardsmen. We can never honor our fallen the way they truly deserve, but every step we can take is a meaningful one.
As the representative of the largest sugar beet-growing district in the nation, I am glad to see bipartisan and bicameral support for our sugar producers. My team is taking a lead role and working closely with members of the Minnesota delegation to ensure the integrity of the sugar program. As we move forward, rest assured that I'll continue to fight for a Farm Bill that empowers our farmers and strengthens rural communities.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support! With gratitude, |
