Lesko Meetings

This week, I had the privilege to meet with constituents and discuss how House Republicans are working to combat the Biden Administration’s disastrous policies, including securing the border and saving gas stoves.

I also had the privilege to meet with constituents in Sun City! It’s always refreshing to catch up with the friendly faces of Arizona’s 8th Congressional District and talk about how House Republicans are working for Arizonans.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Tom Purdon and his wife, Kathryn, to discuss my work on the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, including the impact of the vaccine mandates and the school lockdowns. It’s always great getting to meet with constituents!

Image

This week, I met with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the West and Southeast Realtors of the Valley (WeSERV). We discussed the housing market outlook, trends, and ways Congress can help.

This week, I had the opportunity to tour Regency Dermatology in Surprise. We discussed the many treatments they provide as well as the barriers their business faces with the impact of inflation on Medicare reimbursement rates.

Around the District

This week, Team Lesko attended the ribbon cutting of Someburros in Peoria. We’re so happy to welcome them to Arizona’s 8th Congressional District.

Also this week, Team Lesko attended the ribbon cutting for Glendale Community College’s Gaucho Security Operations Center - the first of its kind in the Maricopa Community College District. Welcome to the 8th Congressional district!

GET THE FACTS: Abortion Pill

This past week, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled in favor of restrictions on the drug Mifepristone, a popular abortion pill. The ruling was decided based upon the Food and Drug Administration's failure to follow the proper procedures in approving the widespread use of the drug. I, like many of you, am passionately pro-life and will always advocate for the lives of our most vulnerable. While this case is ongoing and is expected to reach the Supreme Court, we can count this ruling as a victory for the unborn, a win for women, and progress toward preserving the right to life for ALL Americans.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office after their passport had not been received within State Department processing times and was needed for pending out-of-country travel. Our office contacted the State Department and was able to locate the passport in the final stages of approval and have it shipped to the constituent in time for their travel!
