What does it take to live in a democracy?

We believe the answer includes a commitment to some basic fundamental values: The right to vote. Free and fair elections. Breaking down barriers to the ballot box, not putting them up.

But it's no secret: our democracy has long been under attack, even before January 6th.

For years, MAGA Republicans have tried to make it harder for people, especially people of color, to vote. They've gerrymandered election maps so they get to pick their voters, instead of their voters picking them. They've spread lies that undermine our elections.
