We're on the brink of making history after a 50 year fight.

Enough states have finally ratified the Equal Rights Amendment -- making right now a critical moment in the movement for women to have equal rights under the law.

But because the ratification window ran out, I took swift action with my fellow House Democrats and voted to extend the deadline.

Now, we need the Senate to take up this legislation, but Mitch McConnell has gone on record saying that he has no intention to do so.
