Hey, I know it’s Saturday, so I’ll keep this short.

I get that you may wonder why my campaign needs to raise money when it’s not even 2024 yet. I hear you, and frankly, I wish enough of my colleagues would join me to pass public funding and help fix what’s wrong with our campaign finance system.

But the reality today is that even a campaign like mine has fundraising goals to ensure I have the resources to hire staff, invest in organizing to win reelection and build public support for our shared values.

I know not everyone can afford to give, and I refuse to make up fake deadlines or matches to trick you into donating like other politicians. Instead, my hope is that this honest request resonates with people and motivates you to support our campaign however you can.

So if you can spare a donation, please consider contributing any amount that makes sense for your budget today. This is a true people-powered movement, so every donation will make a difference.
