John, did you hear the news about Ohio's special election?
Ohio voters rejected a GOP-supported ballot measure that would make it harder to amend the state constitution.
Issue 1’s failure is a victory for working families against special interests. Democracy won—and will remain where it belongs: in the hands of voters, not the rich and powerful.
It’s also a crucial victory for abortion rights ahead of a November vote on enshrining reproductive rights in the Ohio Constitution.
Now, the rest is up to us. All over this country, the GOP has been trying to eliminate abortion rights since Roe was overturned. It’s only going to get worse. That is why we’re writing to you today.
GOP politicians are the ones who pushed for this ballot measure and for abortion bans across the country, which is why we must ensure they lose in 2024. Electing more pro-choice Democrats at all levels of government means action will be taken on protecting our reproductive rights.
It all starts with ensuring our Democrats in tough races—including Frontliners in bellwether races—have the resources they need to win.
