John,
Would it surprise you to know that Sen. Raphael Warnock and I are the first two African-American U.S. Senators to serve simultaneously on the Senate Agriculture Committee?
In the nearly 250-year history of this country, we’re bringing a fresh perspective to agriculture, nutrition, food, and hunger on the committee — it’s some of the work that I am most passionate about.
On this panel, I’ve worked to examine the role that factory farms and agricultural monopolies play in our food system.
I’ve seen how small family farms and farmers from historically disadvantaged backgrounds are being squeezed out of existence by Big Ag.
I’ve researched the role that unsafe food production played in the spread of the Covid-19 virus at the onset of the global pandemic.
And the conclusion that I have reached is that we need to radically rethink our nation’s food system — to protect family farms, to ensure greater health, nutrition, and well-being, and to fight the corporate consolidation in this industry as in many others.
In order for me to continue this work, and to serve in a Senate majority where this type of legislation can be passed, I rely on the support of people like you, John.
So if you believe as I do that we must continue to reform our nation’s food system, I’m asking you to chip in $10 to my campaign today.

I hope to continue this work in the majority for many years to come. With your support for our campaign going toe-to-toe with Mitch McConnell and his allies, that’s exactly what we’ll be able to do.
Thanks for adding your support.
With love and gratitude,
Cory
