John, this is incredible.

In the face of the tragedy that gun violence has inflicted on our
communities, millions of people have stepped up to join our movement to
call for real change to end gun violence in America. And together, we're
making a difference.

Already, 2023 is a historic year for gun safety in state legislatures
across the country. So far this year, state legislatures have passed more
than 80 gun safety policies, and they've allocated more than $530 million
to gun violence prevention.

And we're not just passing stronger gun laws—we're taking on the gun
lobby, and we're winning. State lawmakers have blocked 95% of the gun
lobby’s agenda this year, including hundreds of attempts by the gun lobby
to weaken gun laws.

When our lawmakers vote with gun safety in mind, this is the kind of
progress we can make. But these victories didn't just happen on their own:
Tens of thousands of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action
volunteers made this work possible through countless emails, phone calls,
and in-person and virtual visits throughout legislative sessions.

Fighting for gun safety in every single state would be impossible without
our thousands of incredible volunteers. And when we're going toe-to-toe
with the gun lobby, it requires a lot of financial resources, too—that's
why we rely on grassroots donors to keep us going. [ [link removed] ]Donate today to help
