Hey John, it’s Wiley!

Recently, a memory came to my mind, and I wanted to share it. In 1995, I worked in Congress as an intern. The newspaper was how you got your updates back then, and my job was to clip out articles (literally clip them!) and paste them onto a sheet for scanning. I was particularly bummed that summer to see headlines about the DC show, one of Jerry Garcia’s last performances with the Grateful Dead. To this day, I regret missing that concert.

Over the years, I’ve found one universal truth, and it’s that in a world often divided, the impact of the Grateful Dead reminds us that music has the power to bridge divides and bring people together.

The Grateful Dead’s influence inspire me. So, my question for you today is a bit different than usual, what inspires you? Is it music? Another group or musician? Your children? I’d love to hear it:

LET ME KNOW

Dead and Company's final concert happened recently, and while they may have reached their final destination, their music and spirit will live on.

Gratefully,

Wiley Nickel
