In just 20 years, one of our country’s most populous species of bumblebee, the Western Bumblebee, plummeted by 93%. Pollinators like bees are responsible for every 1 in 3 bites of food we eat. But they are being killed by MILLIONS OF POUNDS of Big Ag’s deadly pesticides each year.
Without action, you and I could be part of the last generation to share the planet with many vital bee species.
On top of everything else, pesticides have been found in the very food we eat -- and many of them can’t be washed off. That’s particularly concerning knowing that many pesticides are associated with harm to human health. They’ve been linked to health impacts like cancer, reproductive problems, and damage to children’s developing brains.
Friends of the Earth is fighting to stop Big Polluters, save our pollinators, and protect our planet. But we are falling short of our National Honey Bee Day fundraising goal.
Thankfully, a generous group of donors is still MATCHING ALL GIFTS up to our $107,000 goal, but only until midnight TONIGHT.
Donate now and your membership gift will have DOUBLE the impact on our work to save pollinators and the planet!
