Trump angry after warnings Russia is meddling on his behalf

Team -- this isn't the kind of story I ever want to read. As a national security expert who worked in the Obama and Bush Administrations, this is alarming. The security of our country is at risk and the President is turning his ire on his own intelligence officials rather than Russia.

I have always believed that the security of our country and our democracy must come before petty partisanship. The brave service men and women I saw risking their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq weren't Democrats or Republicans -- they were Americans.

Clearly the President doesn't see it that way. He would rather fire the acting Director of National Intelligence for doing his job than see his election chances tampered with.

Our national security can't be used as a political weapon -- it's a public service. The safety of our families should never be used as a pawn in partisan games.

I'm speaking up and I hope you'll join me. Sign my petition to tell the President that our national security is not about his personal political interests.
