Taking action for vulture conservation
International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD) is a powerful initiative to raise awareness and take action for vulture conservation.

Vultures, nature's cleanup crew, silently provide a vital service by efficiently disposing of carcasses, which helps maintain healthy ecosystems. Yet, some vulture populations face alarming declines due to human-induced threats like poisoning and electrocution. We cannot afford to let these important birds disappear from our skies.

Celebrate IVAD with us
Stay tuned for our activities, including the online 'Which vulture species are you' quiz and an Instagram giveaway on the day. Follow us at @VultureConservationFoundation to take part!

Ways you can support vultures
  • Plan an activity: Organise events that educate and engage others about vulture conservation - find inspiration and resources.
  • Attend an event: Explore the IVAD Activities Page to find events near you that connect you with vultures and their conservation.
  • Spread the word: Share vulture facts and their importance with friends and family. Use #IVAD on social media and tag us to join the conversation.
  • Support conservation: Stand with organisations and projects focused on vulture conservation. Follow their work or donate to their cause to help save these incredible birds.
Your participation matters – join us in celebrating these unsung heroes of nature on IVAD 2023!

Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement.

We truly appreciate your dedication.
