Dear Friend,
Watching the death toll from the fires in Hawaii surpass 100 people over the last week has been horrifying with so many lives, communities and histories destroyed. Then we heard yesterday that a 6.3 magnitude earthquake shook Colombia's capital, Bogota. And this weekend, parts of Mexico and California are facing Hurricane Hilary and the potential of getting more than a year's worth of rain in just a few days.
I want you to know that Project HOPE is closely monitoring these humanitarian disasters as they develop around the world. Please also know that, with your support, we will be ready to help whenever we are needed — always weighing the cultural and situational contexts that help us understand if our response will truly save lives and help recovery efforts.
Right now we have our team on standby for potential deployment to help those who would be most affected by Hurricane Hilary, including migrant families. Can you make a gift today to help us respond as quickly and effectively as possible to health emergencies like this one?
